bio
I'm a native Texan residing in Austin, the epicenter of all that is Good and Right, where I makes things up and sometimes gets paid for it. I've written for both comics (Seraphim) and computer games (Deus Ex, Freelancer), and recently finished my first novel. When not writing I consume large numbers of graphic novels and hunt down obscure foreign films of often dubious reputation. It's a fairly safe bet that I'm one of the few people on the planet who count both the uncut version of Versus and the Criterion edition of Bob Le Flambeur as being among their most prized possessions.
My parents like to tell people that when I was a baby, if I was crying they'd take me to a movie and I'd immediately quiet down. I don't entirely believe this -- I don't entirely disbelieve it, either -- but it makes good bio material. I do know that when I was still young my Dad took me to all the war and horror movies that my mother refused to see with him. One of my earliest memories is of him waking me up in the middle of the night so that we could watch The Blob on TV. I don't think any of this has affected me in the slightest.
I can be easily identified on the street by my blue hair and the Pisces tattoo on my right hand. Assuming my hair isn't purple that day, of course.
All of the previous could have been made up. But it's not. Really.
